Test If An Internet Business Is For You
Whilst I wouldn't recommend you build an internet business using free websites and blogs they can be a great way to test the waters before committing money to something you may not enjoy doing.
If you're totally new to internet marketing you may be wondering what the difference is between a website and a blog.
Well, a blog is usually displays the latest posts on the home page and often includes the date it was posted. This can make a blog seem out of date if you don't post often.
A website is more static. Even if you haven't posted to the website for a year, new visitors would never know thereby giving the appearance of currency.
Having said all that, websites and blogs go hand in hand. I use both. I use the website to create all my abundance information and tools. I then use a blog to notify followers of new content on my website. I also blog when changes have been made to an existing page on my website.
Still unsure of the difference? This article explains in detail.
So, if you'd like to go the free route to start I recommend the following:
Wordpress is one of the most popular blogging platforms. Be careful though, you can't use affiliate links in your posts. You'll have to use their paid option to post affiliate links.
Blogger is another good option. They do allow you to use affiliate links in your posts. However, I have heard of blogs being deleted for being too spammy so don't go overboard.
Weebly is used to build websites and is worth a look.
Other options for posting your content on the web for free include squidoo and hubpages. Whilst these aren't free websites or blogs the search engines love them. Also, if you do decide to go the paid route for a website squidoo and hubpages and provide valuable link juice!
